The 3PL Solutions Division provides end-to-end supply chain solutions for our customers across a variety of modes including bulk trucking for both plastics and liquid chemicals, dry-vans, rail, ocean, intermodal and 3/4PL Inventory control. We are both asset and non-asset based logistic service providers.

Quantix 3PL Solutions is seeking an account manager to work on a team focused on the transportation and delivery orchestration of domestic chemicals via full truckload/dry van. The Account Manager will service and grow the book of business by anticipating and identifying customer needs and coordinating internal and external activities to meet those needs in a timely and reliable manner with friendly, helpful and positive behavior. In performing this function there is also a responsibility to track the progress of each shipment and record non-conformance deviations to continuously identify and correct supply chain performance.

Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain and experience in the chemical industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key point of contact for customers in your portfolio; become the Chief Problem Solver for your customers.
  • Develop strong relationships across customer stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell within our division and company.
  • Ensure information is maintained regarding origin and delivery point requirements as well as data regarding shipper, carrier and customer performance continuously tracking calls and e-mails.
  • Assist with investigation and resolution of customer complaints and supply chain non-conformances; coordinate activity needed to respond to customer requests and continual follow up with customer contacts as needed.
  • Enter shipments into transport management system and proactively inquire, capture, and communicate critical information to ensure success.
  • Collect, create, submit, correct, monitor, maintain and validate documents & reports to ensure the smooth preparation, and timely execution of all activities to support the movement of shipment/loads order-to-cash
  • Maintain shipper and consignee profiles on assigned locations to ensure customer compliance and efficiency.
  • Assign and select carriers based on location requirements, cost and service.
  • Ensure that all carriers comply with standards established for an approved carrier.
  • Document and confirm all accessorial charges within process outlined and as required
  • Operate within the guidelines and contractual obligations established between the customer and 3PL Solutions.
  • Coordinate all change orders, cancellations, rush orders, returned loads and reconsignment or diversions.
  • Confirm rate changes with carriers and record necessary information for accounting & continual improvement.
  • Work internally and externally as needed to respond to inquiries, requests, and demands, including, but not limited to ETAs, Proofs of Delivery, and Scale Tickets for non-special service trips.
  • Create, maintain, and present material needed for reporting customer and company performance to goals.
  • Obtain rate quotes, conduct RFP’s, propose new solutions that drive growth and continual improvement
  • Positive inventory control and load assignments.
  • Capable of generating useful and accurate information to guide clients in a timely manner.
  • Implied tasks outnumber specified task; the job is to keep manufacturers supplied per their expectations.

Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • 3 years experience with truckload transportation logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • 2-3 years of transportation/logistics/brokerage experience is required
  • Experience with chemical industry a plus
  • Some travel required, 15%
  • Excellent communication skills, we rely on establishing strong bonds and credentials with others
  • Comfortable with pricing, quoting and cost validation.
  • Demonstrate risk analysis, contingency planning and alternate solutions: adroit at determining “Plan B.”
