JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Sales Account Manager in the nutraceutical industry, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing client relationships, overseeing the sales process, and acting as a point of contact for key accounts. Your responsibilities will include maintaining existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Understand client needs, preferences, and pain points.
- Regularly communicate with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service.
Sales Process Oversight:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify potential leads, qualify prospects, and convert them into customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, and operations) to ensure seamless sales processes.
Business Development:
- Research and identify new business opportunities within the nutraceutical market.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads.
- Present product offerings and negotiate contracts with potential clients.
Strategic Planning:
- Create and implement strategic account plans to maximize sales and profitability.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategies.
- Forecast sales targets and track performance metrics.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery, or service.
- Continuously seek feedback from clients to improve overall customer experience.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Every employee is responsible for Food Safety
- With regard to site visits originating in Santa Fe Springs (sister site), attends to visitors and requires visit compliances.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs if in processing or warehouse areas including:
- Personnel Hygiene (including hand wash procedures)
- Personnel Processing Practices
- Food Defense Procedures
Must report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action: SQF Practitioner, Quality Management, Plant/Production Management, or Supervisors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development in a nutraceutical environment.
- Knowledge of nutraceutical products, ingredients, and industry trends a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events.
- Must be organized and able to manage databases.

Direct Report – CEO
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
