About the Role
Position: Workshop Manager
We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Manager to oversee our Mechanical & Engineering Division Workshop in Marsden Point. The Workshop Manager will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety compliance, operational efficiency, and logistical support necessary for the smooth functioning of our workshop operations.
Location: Marsden Point
Status: Full Time Monday to Friday 45 hour week. Working hours are 0700-1600
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage and enforce safety protocols, conduct incident reporting, and ensure all personnel adhere to safety guidelines.
- Oversee workshop operations including machinery management, warranty claims, and staff management.
- Handle purchase orders, invoicing, insurance claims, and monthly reporting using our systems.
- Manage team performance, conduct reviews, and ensure staff adherence to safe work practices and training requirements.
Key Attributes:
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of mechanics.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina.
- Conscientiousness and tenacity in achieving objectives.
- Demonstrated integrity and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Fully qualified as a diesel mechanic with previous management experience.
- Previous experience in workshop management or similar role.
