The Company: Quest Window Systems Inc (“Quest”) is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Quest services clients from all over North America, including major metropolitan areas such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Toronto and Vancouver.

Salary range from $40,000 - $55,000 per year (based on experience)

Purpose: This position reports to the Procurement Manager. The Buyer will be responsible for managing and placing purchase orders, expediting and scheduling deliveries, working with internal stakeholders, checking for discrepancies, managing some inventory and supporting others in day to day tasks.
Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Able to perform Data Entry and Utilize the ERP Information system in order to fully assist in the management of the business data
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices.
- Create, Manage and track all Vendor Purchase orders; entry, review, release, etc.
- Ensure that orders are expedited by following up with vendors on a regular basis.
- Maintain and update Inventory Reports for aluminum extrusion, sheets, glass etc.
- Run new inventory file and maintain by removing dates of the completed orders
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Contact suppliers regarding errors in partial or duplicate shipments, prices, and substi-tutions.
- Verify purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying un-clear items
- Prepare and administer bids, requests for quote, purchase orders and other vendor documentation
- May meet with existing and new suppliers to negotiate raw material and packaging costs and determine/finalize new or existing contracts.
- Monitor available inventory levels by verifying stock; scheduling deliveries with ven-dors
- Works with Production and Accounting to implement and strategize all period end inventory counts.
- Accomplish purchasing and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed
- Perform other related duties as required to meet customer and production requirements
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- 1-3-years progressive experience in a purchasing role
- Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
- Market research, data analysis and understanding of purchasing best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office with solid experience of MS Excel.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills
