What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI / ML Leader position at Quidient?
Quidient seeks an accomplished scientist / engineer with a strong background in machine learning in computer vision applications to join and lead our research team in this field. You will be able to design and implement high level semi-supervised ML to our Quidient Reality® scene processing platform. You will be a quick thinker with great coding/debugging skills, excellent leadership skills, and strong collaborative skills. Title, compensation (including equity), and relocation expense reimbursement will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6 years of experience developing production code, or 4 years in academia and 2 in a production code.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C .
- Experience with Pytorch, Tensorflow, and/or related Deep Learning frameworks.
Preferences:
- Deep understanding of multithreaded object-oriented code design, implementation, and testing using C in the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
- Significant scene reconstruction experience, e.g. NeRF, SLAM, structure-from-motion (SfM), or multiview stereo (MVS) (e.g., COLMAP).
- Knowledge and experience implementing Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) in 3D imaging applications.
- Leadership experience in a collaborative environment.
- Background in high-performance computing, including GPUs, FPGAs.
- History of successful delivery of products.
- Record of success in 3D technology companies, including startups.
- Brilliant thinker who can contribute both “inside and outside the box."
- Live or be willing to relocate near our tech center in Columbia, MD.

Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year
