Cashier/Prep

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced environment. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the smooth operation of our café or restaurant.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their orders.
- Operate the cash register and Aloha POS system to process payments.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately, ensuring all sales are recorded correctly.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, promotions, and specials to assist customers effectively.
- Prepare food items as needed, adhering to food safety standards and kitchen protocols.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the cashier area and dining space, including regular cleaning of surfaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.

Experience
- Previous experience in sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar cash register systems is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing change accurately.
- Experience in the food industry or retail environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing inventory and sales reporting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.35 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
