The Role
As the UX/UI Designer, your contribution to the organization will be to ensure our websites follow best practices, giving our users the best online experience possible. You will build, manage, and execute to all aspects of the website process including initial design plans, maintenance, user interface and experience. Located in our Charlotte, NC headquarters, and reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will do this by:
- Working with internal and client teams to complete interface development processes for new projects including site map, template and development/testing
- Developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look
- Maintaining daily updates to current websites including launching new products, changes to current product, communication with buyers and content and image updates
- Troubleshooting and making recommendations for website issues
- Assisting with assessing the usability of our websites and making constructive suggestions for improvements while collaborating with internal teams
- Working directly with developers to ensure successful implementation of requirements
- Collaborating and communicating effectively with entire marketing team
- Developing new sites through our custom Content Management System (CMS)

This position plays a vital role in our success. Here are some highlights of the type of person and background we believe would thrive:
- Obsessed with good user-centered design practices, with an eye for detail
- Fluent in responsive design, mobile/tablet UI UX
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role
- Portfolio of design projects
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience in a Content Management System (CMS)
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS3/HTML5
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills
