As a Global Supply Chain Manager on the Operations team, you will be responsible for managing suppliers and sub-tier suppliers across quip’s portfolio. You will work with the Sourcing Manager and support supplier business relationships which include: cost and contract negotiations, quality assurance, and continuity of supply. You will support developing and executing supply chain objectives across a wide variety of commodity manufacturers. 

Ideally, you would have a proven track record of supply chain management, supplier relations and negotiations, and process improvement experience.  This role requires an understanding of supply chain management, manufacturing processes, and experience with managing a secure, high-performance, flexible, and stable supply base for assigned commodities.

Responsibilities

  • This role includes supporting the sourcing team with negotiating costs and terms, onboarding suppliers, managing supplier relationships and overseeing performance of primary, raw material and sub-tier suppliers
  • Support Project Manager, quality, finance, and cross-functional leadership to ensure that the suppliers are compliant with commercial supply agreements that were established and ready to support product launches and ongoing commercial and developmental supply
  • Negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.
  • Implement logistic strategies and stocking plan strategies
  • Analyze supply chain data and solve issues / put alternative plans in place
  • Ensure on-time manufacturing at suppliers and delivery of commercial products to quip, avoid product stock-outs, and always ensure sufficient safety stock inventory
  • Develop tools and best practices for supply chain management and execution
  • Ensure contracts (including but not limited to NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, etc.) are positioned appropriately before business is initiated, and holding suppliers accountable to contract terms after business has been awarded
  • Manage and report on supplier spend, cash flow impact of new buys, supplier capacity plans, risk mitigation plans
  • Create competitive and collaborative environments with suppliers to incentivize quarterly cost reduction targets
  • Support new product introduction by developing a should-cost model, and negotiating to achieve product cost targets
  • Support key supplier performance metrics and supporting in organizing QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) with key suppliers to review quality, delivery, cost performance and improvement plan
  • Collaborate cross functionally, communicating to senior management about any potential issue which can affect quip’s products, at anywhere in the supply chain.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Global Supply Management 
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Experience managing a broad range of commodity types and contract manufacturers
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in multinational environments
