The server is responsible for providing food & beverage service to guests in the bar. This includes waiting tables, taking guest’s food and beverage orders and serving meals and beverages to guests. F&B Team Members are also required to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hours of operation and maintain control over liquor inventory.

Essential Requirements
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming (per brand standards).
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the hotel’s scheduling that will vary according to hotel business levels.
- Always comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Always maintain a friendly and warm demeanor.
- Knowledge of hotel outlet hours of operation, hotel activities, meeting room locations, and in-house functions.
- Able to operate the POS computer system. Enter food orders, change orders, prepare the check, make change, bill to credit card or guest room, reconcile charge sales and cash receipts with total sales to verify accuracy of transactions.
- Use proper phone etiquette and phone procedures.
- Effectively utilize all opening and closing checklists.
- Utilize proper table greeting, presents menus/nightly specials, accurately describe menu items, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, utilize upsell techniques.
- Knowledge of Alcohol Awareness and requests identification from guests to verify legal drinking age.
- Offer beverage service to include serving, upselling, presentation, clearing, special requests, proper glassware, garnish, and proper verbiage.
- Knowledge of call and well brand liquors and able to serve using proper presentation.
- Knowledge of various wines, draught, or bottled beers and serve using proper presentation.
- Relay orders to kitchen and serve utilizing property carrying/lifting techniques.
- Use proper clearing procedures throughout the mean, replacing utensils when necessary.
- Total bills and accepts/processes payments.
- Utilize proper safety procedures and understanding of food handling procedures.
- Use proper table approach, greeting, serving, replacing utensils, checking back, clearing of room for banquet functions.
- Set up tables/rooms according to diagram including proper china, glass, silver, linen, and hollowware.
- Set up and inspect coffee breaks according to hotel standards and BEO.
- Sanitize eating area, as used, every 20 minutes.
- Wash or sanitize hands every 20-30 minutes while in high contact areas.
- Always maintain warm and friendly demeanor .
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Always use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Able to satisfy and resolve basic food quality and service complaints.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in hotel F&B or restaurant.
- Unexpired Alcohol Awareness Certification and Food Handlers Certifications are required.
