We are hiring 2 Merchandise Assortment Planners, where you will create the Assortment Plan for a merchandise division/category, across all platforms, ensuring that the assortment is built to deliver the financial plans for their category. This includes the development of the pre-season assortment plans, taking into consideration the demand sales trend by platform, reviewing recommended inventory assortment plans with their Merchandising partners prior to going to market, and reconciling post-market buys to assortment plan to ensure the assortment is set to deliver financial targets. You will report directly to the Director and work with our executive team to be responsible for internal communication among the Planning, Merchandising, Forecasting, Inventory Management, Merchandise Financial Planning, and Digital Commerce teams, and influencing business strategy/decision-making of these teams to improve the business. You'll share observations and opportunities for the business and overall inventory management and develop merch assortment planning strategies for either soft or hard lines. Your Impact Develop the Assortment Plan for a merchandise Division/Category. Analyze trends of the business, product & Brand performance by platform, existing inventory, and identified reorders. Create the assortment plan tailored to deliver the financial targets for the Division/Category. Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning to identify go-forward reorder plans. Collaborate with Planning, Merchandising, and Inventory Management to identify and make recommendations on trends/opportunities within the current inventory assortment to improve sales and manage inventory Execution. Responsible for scheduling and leading the pre-market meeting to review the assortment plan recommendations for their assigned Divisions/Categories with Merchandising. Responsible for post-market buy reviews to reconcile assortment plans to ensure the assortment is built to deliver financial targets. Communicate finalized assortment plan to Merchandising, Planning, Digital Commerce, Inventory Management, Merchandise Financial Planning, Programming, and Forecasting. Analyze trends of the business, product & Brand performance by platform, existing inventory, and identified reorders. Create the assortment plan tailored to deliver the financial targets for the Division/Category. Collaborate with Merchandising and Planning to identify go-forward reorder plans. Schedule and lead the pre-market meeting to review the assortment plan recommendations for their assigned Divisions/Categories with Merchandising. Also work post-market buy reviews to reconcile assortment plans to ensure the assortment is built to deliver financial targets. What You Bring You can lead large-scale projects across multiple lines of a business. You are a data lover and can analyze situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business. You can develop strategic assortment plans and have a financial skills. You have solid proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and windows based systems. Bachelor’s degree in merchandising/marketing/online sales or equivalent business experience. 3-5 years experience in planning/allocation in an online retail environment, or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
