CNC Machining General Maintenance-2ND SHIFT

R&B Grinding is currently seeking experienced General Maintenance Mechanic's for both 1st and 2nd shift.

POSITION REQUIRES PRIOR EXPERIENCE TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIRING CNC MACHINING EQUIPMENT.

JOB SUMMARY

General maintenance duties including troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine functions that may include peripheral automation. Duties also include supporting senior level maintenance technicians.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• General diagnostics and repair on CNC turning and milling machines, manual manufacturing machines and supporting plant infrastructure repairs that may include heating, ventilation, lighting, compressors, motors and other mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as assigned such as cleaning and inspection of company equipment from work orders generated by the company CMMS.
• Use technical documents and OEM equipment manuals to identify equipment failures and order replacement parts as needed.
• Assist and help perform alignments of CNC spindles, turrets and tail stocks.
• Assist and support with new equipment installations as required.
• In conjunction with production team, support functions of the CMMS preventive maintenance schedules and work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimally requires prior experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machining equipment, independently.
• Associates degree or technical education; or equivalent relevant experience an added plus. Additional compensations will be considered for degreed applicants.
• Hands on troubleshooting, teardown, and repair capabilities required.
• Perform work assignments with a sense of urgency for machine down conditions and provide the operations management team with the means and resources that are required to make repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and ladder logic diagrams and related OEM (machine manufacturers) technical manuals and documentation.
• Flexibility and availability for overtime hours as required due to production demand.
