We are looking for an experienced Head of Maintenance preferably with experience in the hospitality, amusement, and RV resort industry for our Splash Magic RV Resort. This resort offers amenities such as swimming pools, hot tub, waterslides, miniature golf, playground, bumper boats, paddle boats, row boats, aqua trikes, pedal go karts, basketball court, game room, live entertainment, themed weeks, restaurant/snack bar, several bath houses, and an onsite convenience store.
- This position is responsible for maintaining the efficient repair and conditions of all assets of the Splash Magic RV Resort by Rjourney including the daily operation of the pool and pool chemicals
- This position is also responsible for ensuring that all work performed by the Maintenance department meets the expected standards of cleanliness and consistency
- This is a full-time year round position, typically scheduled 40 hours per week May through October and minimal working hours November through April
- Responsible for completing weekly inventories for the maintenance, grounds, lifeguard & pool areas
- Responsible for communicating with vendors, ordering supplies, ensuring that orders are received accurately and finalizing invoices
- Oversee and supervise pool operation including but not limited to: water testing and chemical balancing, equipment repairs, safety regulations, and assisting lifeguards in closing the pool at the end of the day
- Oversee and supervise grounds maintenance team including but not limited to: run gas powered lawn equipment (such as zero turn mowers, string trimmers, chain saws, hedge trimmers, etc.), collect trash around campground including trash receptacles and recycling containers, and clean fire pits
- Provide maintenance in the following areas: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Cable and Wi-Fi, as well as others identified as needed including vehicle and golf cart repairs
- Inspecting bath houses, laundry rooms, and public areas to include the game room and registration area for cleanliness and maintenance challenges
- Using departmental software to assign daily tasks, log maintenance needs, and answer/respond to company emails
- Monitoring staff activity to ensure productivity and safe work practices
- Daily record keeping of assignments, staff, and guest opportunities
- Assisting in training employees
- Coaching and counseling employees for corrective action
- Proper use of cleaning agents, chemicals, and equipment to include but not limited to: propane and propane tanks, pool chemicals, cleaning chemicals, gasoline
- Handling guest request in a professional and appropriate manner
- Respond to all guest requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
- Exposure to machinery to include lawn care equipment, tractors, and golf carts
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and holidays, evenings, and overtime

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
