Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our mobile development team. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring robust and scalable performance across various devices.

Location: Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with outside data sources and APIs.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Understanding of Google s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
• Published one or more applications in the Google Play Store.
• Experience with Firebase platform (Firestore, Cloud Messaging, etc.).
• Knowledge of modern architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with performance and memory tuning tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
