Job Responsibilities:
- Take a leading role in patient management and assessment. Duties in this area include determining whether a patient has been appropriately prepared for a procedure, obtaining patient consent prior to beginning the procedure, answering questions from the patient and his or her family, and adapting exam protocols to improve diagnostic quality. The radiologist assistant also is expected to serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that each patient receives quality care while in the radiology department or clinic.
- Performs selected radiology examinations and procedures under the supervision of a radiologist (Complete list of Exams Attached)
- Maintaining Sterile technique during invasive procedures
- Preliminary diagnosis/interpretation
- Strong clinical background
- Critical thinking skills i.e.: emergency situations, critical patients
- Knowledge of extensive protocol ( Adult and Pediatric)
- Medication guidelines and protocols
- Reliable transportation
- In addition to the procedures listed below.
- Assess and evaluate the physiologic and psychological responsiveness of each patient
- Liaison between ordering physician, Radiologist, and medical staff.
- Verifies physician orders for accuracy and diagnostic purposes.
- Responsible for evaluating image quality, making initial image observations, and forwarding those observations to the supervising radiologist.
Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Must be Radiology Technologist with at least 5 years’ experience
- Completion of RPA/R.R.A. certificate program and or Master’s Program
- Must have excellent working relationships with physicians, patients, and hospital staff
- Flexibility in hours and ability to rotate to all hospital sites (reliable transportation)

Education Requirements:
- Graduate of AMA approved school with ARRT certification
- Successful completion of a Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) program recognized by the CBRPA or completion of at least 400 hours of hands-on training for the Radiology Practitioner Assistant position with documentation of training.
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Maintain Credentialing at Approved Sites/ Parallon
- Maintain current levels of education in emerging techniques, procedures and therapies.
- Obtain a minimum of 24 hrs of continuing education as required by ARRT
- Maintain ACLS/BLS
- Maintain values congruent with the Code of Ethics as well as adhering to national, institutional and /or departmental standards, policies and procedures regarding the standards of care for patients
Compensation is between $100,000 and $129,000 annually contingent upon qualifications.
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Invision Sally Jobe’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
