Description
Senior Project Manager will support projects specific to and lead by the Chief Technology Officers group. Candidate must currently reside in Central Indiana. The IOT CTO group includes Enterprise Architecture, Centralized Application Services, IN.gov, and Strategic Engagement. Types of projects this team member will be expected to support include:
• Multi-disciplinary projects that span teams with the CTO’s office and other parts of IOT
• Proof of Concept (POC) and pilot projects for emergent technological solutions
• Technical upgrades that are not fully covered by other IOT teams Anticipated benefits include:
• Increase speed-to-delivery for projects, with adherence to budget and requirements standards
• Ensure that projects have defined goals and expectations and that project deliverables execute to the state goals and expectations
• Reduce “surprises” by identifying potential risks and issues at an early project stage and continue to refresh throughout project execution
• Increase communication, relationships and alignment with IOT internal teams and the occasional external State partner
• Maintain constant focus on projects’ visions and objectives General
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for relationship management, project planning, resource management, tactical execution, and the creation and / or oversight of final project deliverables
• Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders, and the team to meet business objectives and provide professional leadership & mentorship fostering respect and trust to inspire others to pursue excellence.
• Review, revise, and implement policies, practices, standards, and tools that support CTO project efforts
• Work directly with senior managers and staff supporting all facets of IOT’s service delivery
• Manage staff and teams, as needed
