MEDICAL BILLING MANAGER
Radiation Oncology Care at Meridian Park is a freestanding Radiation Oncology treatment facility providing academic center level care to cancer patients in a community setting.
We are seeking a motivated, self-directed and experienced Medical Billing Manager to lead the development, operations and optimization of the revenue cycle process. You will have direct operational accountability of annual cash collections ensuring a compliant, effective, and streamlined operational goals for the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead plan to improve the revenue cycle and to continually improve registration accuracy, clean claims ratios, coding accuracy, reduce days in AR, increase cash collections, reduce bad debt, eliminate write-offs due to revenue process issues. Working in collaboration with clinical staff, provide technical expertise regarding a broad range of third party payer and reimbursement issues. Handles multiple tasks simultaneously in a confident and proficient manner performing the following duties as necessary including, but not limited to:
- Process Electronic claims on a daily basis. Completion of assigned pre-bill review work queue and rejection work queue.
- Secure needed medical documentation required or requested by insurance carriers. Investigate, analyze, and determine the reason for denials of payment from insurance carriers.
- Process claim corrections promptly and accurately. Communicate directly with the payers if necessary to further assess rejection reason.
- Process denials of payment from insurance carriers until claims are paid.
- Research and analyze reimbursement. Keep updated on all insurance carrier billing requirements and changes.
- Accurately post payments and adjustments according to current standards of contracts.
- Assists with period (month) and year end system closes.
- Cover for front office and perform other duties as requested and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least five (5) years of upper level medical practice billing, coding and collections. Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
- AAPC certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Word processing and Excel spreadsheets.
