The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking to hire a Systems Administrator who will be responsible for implementing new and upgraded computer hardware and software systems in the Department of Radiation Oncology in close collaboration with the end-users, vendors, and HCIS. Work closely with a senior systems administrator. Configure, manage, and maintain computer hardware and software systems in Radiation Oncology. Responsible for installing, maintaining, organizing, integrating, and consolidating departmental servers and scripts used with enterprise software. Perform routine and advanced administrative tasks in a complex multi-server environment. Responsible for implementing programs for system integrity, disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, security, and ensuring compliance with HCIS requirements.

Supervision and direction is received from the Medical Physics Division Director.

Percent of Time: 100% Full Time
Schedule: Hours will be between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position will be on-site with no option for remote work.

Required Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Availability to provide on-call support as shared with a senior systems administrator.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Computer programming proficiency with a high-level language such as C, Java, C#, or Python.
· Knowledge of Mosaiq and other software applications used in Radiation Oncology.
· Experience implementing and ensuring secure systems in a healthcare environment.
· Experience with database server administration.
