As a certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network®, our physicians have access to the latest multidisciplinary care resources and best practices developed by MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our team of surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology certified nurses, research staff, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurse navigators, social workers, psychologist, and dietitians work together to incorporate the latest research and treatment options to create the best treatment plan for each patient.

SummaryDiagnose and treat cancer and tumors with radiation therapy.
ResponsibilitiesUse the scope of knowledge required to provide appropriate medical evaluation of each patient, clinical treatment planning, therapeutic simulation and isodose distribution, treatment delivery and management, and provide follow up care post treatment completion; order and oversee diagnostic testing; prescribe supportive medications; collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, physics and dosimetry to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure. Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum. Participation in tumor board(s) is required. Act as medical director for this specialty area.
