POSITION SUMMARY
Radiology Partners is seeking a Front Desk Clerk who will perform a full range of administrative and front office duties for a busy outpatient diagnostic imaging center. This position requires excellent computer skills, experience working in a busy medical office and some knowledge in medical imaging patient processing. May perform departmental support functions such as operating a multi-telephone line system, entering data into information systems, or other duties similar in nature.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle incoming calls and assist with needed requests
- Patient check in to include entering demographic information and scanning patient documents into PACS system
- Assist the billing company with patient information inquiries
- Obtain insurance benefits and authorizations for patients
- Schedule studies, provide patient instructions and assist with follow-up calls and reminder appointments
- Check patients in and out
- Answer phones
- Schedule faxed referrals received
- Enter patient data into Medic Scheduler and in our EHR
- Scan patient data into EHR
- Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments
- 24-hour check
- Prepare and take deposits to the bank
- Work recall list
- Scan end-of-day paperwork to appropriate locations
- Provide outstanding patient care and client service for referring physician offices
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned by the Center Supervisor
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma required, Associates Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of clerical/administrative experience for a physican office, preferably working in a radiology setting.
- Experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
