Responsibilities of the Assistant Supervisor for the Laboratory:
- Supervises all operational and technical aspects of the laboratory during the night shift
- Performs bench technologist duties in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and the accessioning/phlebotomy area as required
- Attends staff meetings and in-services as requested/required
- Responsible for the monthly schedule; in coordination with eve/night coordinator carries out performance reviews and other managerial duties as required
Requirement for the Assistant Supervisor for the Laboratory:
- New York State Medical Technologist License required
- BS in Medical Technology or related science with six years of relevant hospital experience
- ASCP certification preferred
