Career Advancement Opportunity Available for a dedicated and caring professional to cross-train into mammography. This full-time Mammography Technologist Trainee opportunity will work within ourBreast Care and Imaging Center of Rancho Mirage team Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pmin Rancho Mirage CA. RadNet will provide the hands-on training in mammography and once you have your California State Mammography License, you will become a full-time mammography technologist with us.
As a Mammographer you will get to:
- Perform high quality digital mammography exams on incoming patients.
- Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
- Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
- Respond to physician needs/questions regarding patients and assist radiologists with patient procedures if needed.
- Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
We're looking for experienced and professional licensed radiology technologists with a strong desire to cross-train into mammography and have the potential to independently perform all outpatient mammography exams and procedures with high quality results.
If you're the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following qualifications:
- A current California State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
- BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
- The keen interest and ability to learn new skills in advanced radiology procedures such as Tomosynthesis, biopsies, and procedures.
- Are resilient, adaptable and compassionate. Patients can be nervous about their exams; we look to you to provide a calm and friendly demeanor, and provide a professional and positive healthcare delivery experience.
- Be quick thinking and have the ability to take appropriate action on-the-fly should an emergent situation arise.
Once hired, you will be required to:
- Complete a 40-hour initial Mammography Training Course Webinar with 8-hours of training in digital mammography included (Radnet will reimburse you).
- Complete 8-hours of training in Tomosynthesis (Radnet will reimburse you).
- Pass the California State Mammography Licensing Exam (Radnet will reimburse you).
