What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRI Tech position at RadNet?
We invite you to come join the RadNet Radiology team as a MRI Technologist.
Our centers multi-modality outpatient imaging providing a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.
As an MRI Technologist, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform high quality MRI (add other modalities such as X-ray and/or fluoroscopy if needed) exams on incoming patients.
- Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
- Understands and uses TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
- Monitor patient's well being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
- Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
- Assist radiologists with patient procedures such as image guided breast biopsies, needle localizations, and ductograms.
- On occasion, may travel to our nearby outpatient centers to help with coverage if needed.
- Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
This is a Floater position. Shift: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:45am- 5:15pm; Wednesday 8:45am- 7:00pm; Saturday 7:30am - 1:30pm.

We're looking for experienced and professional candidates who are able to independently perform all outpatient MRI exams and procedures with high quality results. Applicants must also possess ARRT(R) certification or ARMRIT certification if only doing MRI, State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, State Venipuncture permit, Fluoroscopy permit if applicable, CPR certification, and great patient care and communication skills. At least 2 year of recent MRI work experience is preferred!
