This position has oversight responsibilities for the overall regulatory compliance, quality of operations, staffing, and financial operation of Sterile Processing Department (SPD).
The Director will direct, plan, and manage the operations and resources of SPD. This position is part of the Surgical Services Leadership Team working closely with the surgical areas to ensure proactive planning, consistency in performance, and sterility assurance, and increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The Director promotes the development of a motivated and cohesive team and supports educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to sterile processing.
The Director provides excellent service, meets all regulatory requirements, negotiates and manages high-cost contracts and vendors, and develops a comprehensive financial plan.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree
Area of Study in a Field Related to the Position
8 Years of Experience
Cert Reg Central Svc Tech (CRCST)
Minimum of 5 years as a leader in an acute hospital setting managing an SPD department
Minimum 5 years experience in healthcare facility in a leadership position with similar product lines and / or activities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Master's Degree
10 Years of Experience
Certification in Healthcare Central Service or other similar leadership field
Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Care Administration
Minimum 8 years experience in a healthcare facility in a leadership position with similar product lines and / or activities
The expected hiring range for this position is $48.03 to $66.05
