About the role:
Raft is looking for a talented and enthusiastic IT Manager with exceptional problem-solving skills to join our dedicated team of customer-focused professionals. This opportunity empowers you to contribute significantly to the development and transformation of an organization that values its customers and team members above all else. As Raft's inaugural IT Manager, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing and optimizing our internal Raft Labs IT infrastructure.
- Ongoing IT Project Support:
- Lead and manage all IT-related projects, ensuring alignment with company and program goals
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their IT needs and deliver timely, within-budget solutions
- Management of MSP:
- Oversee the relationship with Interlaced, ensuring that service levels are met and maximized
- Evaluate and manage MSP contracts, performance, and issue resolution
- Assist with management of laptop inventory
- Data Investigations and Security:
- Collaborate with the People team to conduct IT-related investigations
- Support incident response efforts, ensuring swift and effective resolution of IT security breaches
- CMMC Compliance:
- Assist in the ongoing CMMC compliance assessment, ensuring that our IT practices meet the necessary standards for our Department of Defense (DoD) contracts
- Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with CMMC requirements
- GCC High Environment Management:
- Manage and maintain our GCC High environment, ensuring that it is secure, compliant, and meets the needs of our organization
- Implement enhancements and upgrades to maintain a secure environment
- IT Environment Enhancements:
- Identify and implement enhancements to Raft labs
- General IT Support:
- Provide support for any other IT-related tasks in the HQ office (McLean, VA), including troubleshooting, system administration, and team member support.
- Also provide daily support for IT-related tasks for our remote employees, including using our communication platform to directly respond to general employee requests and technical issues involving all Raft systems in a time-sensitive manner
- Ensure that all IT systems/Raft Labs are operating smoothly and efficiently
What we are looking for:
- 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably within a defense or government contracting environment
- Strong understanding of IT project management and experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with Managed Service Provider (MSP) management
- Solid understanding of CMMC requirements and experience with DoD compliance
- Hands-on experience with GCC High environment management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex IT issues quickly
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Highly Preferred:
- Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or CMMC Assessor
- Experience in a defense tech environment or familiarity with DoD contracts
- Proficiency in ITIL and IT service management frameworks
- Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of emerging IT technologies and trends
Clearance Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Work Type:
- McLean, VA (this is an onsite position, candidates must be local)
- May require up to 10% travel
