- Base Wage : $19.00 / hr opportunity for overtime.

- 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Raise Workforce has partnered with the leading provider of facilities management, camp services, workforce lodging solutions, operational support services, and disaster and emergency management for a diverse range of clients.
They are seeking a 1st cook you’ll be responsible for training, supervising, and working alongside our cooks to prepare, cook, and present food according to our standardized menus, ensuring quality and excellence in every dish.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assign specific duties to kitchen staff for efficient operations.
- Select and use only the freshest ingredients for menu items.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper food preparation.
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations for food storage and rotation.
- Motivate and teach staff new recipes and standards.
- Adhere to cost and quality control procedures.
- Communicate with the chef about inventory and menu changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Prepare daily soups and beans, and ensure timely service.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) for inventory management.
- Minimize food waste and ensure compliance with contract specifics.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests.
- Required Qualifications :
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computational and computer skills.
- Thorough knowledge of hot and cold food preparation.
- Understanding of sanitation standards and health codes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs and operating kitchen equipment.
Physical Demands :
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, including freezers and outdoor events.
- Stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
- Handle kitchen equipment and demonstrate culinary techniques.
