Overview
This claims administrator will work closely with our safety team and will be responsible for intaking and processing new claims forms, review documents related to all claims through the claims process, submitting documents the insurance provider, and others.
Maintain claim files including claim forms, workers’ healthcare bills, indemnity documents, and more on all claims. Perform investigations and adjudication as required.
They also maintain open communication with all related stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Review and evaluate insurance claims for validity and completeness
- Verify insurance coverage and ascertain the degree of company’s liability
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters and safety team to manage claims
- Communicate with team about claim process and status
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files
- Collaborate with legal counsel on claims when necessary
- Process approved claims for payment
- Identify potential fraudulent claims and refer them to investigators
- Stay updated with changes in insurance policies and regulation
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a claim’s processor or similar role in a Construction environment.
- Understanding of insurance regulations and best practices
- Excellent data entry and data processing skills
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Good communication and negotiation skills both verbal and written
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business or finance is a plus
