Manager - Strategic Sustainability Consulting

We serve corporate clients that are mid-size to global players in manufacturing, utilities, private equity, financial services, and real estate. Our clients seek Ramboll’s guidance and leadership in decarbonization, transitioning to a low-carbon economy, and developing sustainable, resilient business models. We are seeking mid to senior-level consultants with experience in corporate sustainability, climate change, and the energy transition with the passion to help build our Strategic Sustainability Consulting business. Managers joining our team will work directly with clients to drive environmental impact while developing their sustainability expertise and client management and sales skills. Inviting bright minds In this role, you will join our Strategic Sustainability Consulting division in Ramboll Management Consulting. As a Manager, you’ll bring experience in a specific capacity of sustainability consulting, whether industry background, service area, or issue area, to drive client project execution. You’ll manage small teams of junior staff, overseeing all aspects of quality delivery, and support business development activities. Key responsibilities: Lead two-three client projects simultaneously, managing input from team members across the Ramboll Management Consulting team to drive high quality delivery of consulting engagements Lead the delivery agenda for projects, shaping the scope, methodology, and approach and managing project timelines and budgets Oversee the project work of junior staff and support their overall growth and development Serve as an emerging subject matter expert in the team for client projects and proposals, based on issue / service / industry experience Lead project-specific client management, with input from Senior Managers, with an eye towards overall client relationships and building deep, ongoing relationships Help drive project proposals including proposed approaches, timelines, staffing plans, and budgets Your starting point for constant growth From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development to enable your growth with the company and in the fast-evolving field of sustainability. For this role, we believe your starting point will be a mix of some, if not all, of the following qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business, economics, environmental studies, sustainability or similar - Master’s degree or advanced study preferred 4-8 years of total experience, with demonstrated consulting experience or similar experience in developing and maintaining client relationships, pursuing and creating business opportunities, and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines Experience in relevant issue area (decarbonization, energy, sustainability), service area, (strategy, finance, analytics, change management, operational process improvements, reporting and disclosure) or industry (Technology & Datacenters, Utilities, Real Estate) Well-developed leadership and people skills, including a demonstrated ability to enhance the skills and effectiveness of other team members Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written Ability to develop executive level presentations, with details, logic, and content tailored to the appropriate audience Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a remote environment Ability to handle multiple tasks and work streams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail and quality of deliverables Experience/comfort with working on a virtual team with stakeholders across geographies Excellent proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook Willingness to travel on a limited basis, as needed (currently paused due to COVID-19).
