What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at RampCo?

Job Description:

  • You’ll develop creative concepts that are in brand for various digital and print applications.
  • You’ll leverage existing brand guidelines to create optimized, accurate, final web-ready or print-ready files.
  • This fast-paced marketing team does not have traffic or project managers, so strong project management skills are critical for success.
  • You’ll service and collaborate with HR and the Marketing Events team needing design and production support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deep understanding of the Marvell brand. Manage brand consistency to make sure teams are adhering to the brand guidelines.
  • Design and implement the design across all sizes appropriate for all digital and print media channels
  • Print and digital graphics such as event theme graphics, email banners, Save the Date, Zoom backgrounds, posters, flyers, internal announcement graphics, digital signage, quote cards, and social media graphic design
  • Design new branded icons to add to the iconography library on Brandfolder and PowerPoint Toolkit
  • Search, place and crop imagery to Marvell’s brand style
  • Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners
  • Archive work into a shared drive accessible to team members
  • Assess project requirements, identify scope, and set production timing expectations
  • Ensure all work created aligns with Marvell’s brand standards
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing Brand Experience team members to ensure consistency of the Marvell brand

What you bring to the team:

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and tracking your work in project management and content management tools such as Smartsheet
  • Strong project management skills
  • Expert level of knowledge in Pre-Press, CMYK, RGB color spaces, proofing, and digital print production
  • Accomplished in color-correction, image editing, masking, and compositing
  • Print production knowledge of how ink and paper work with color-correction
  • Creativity, originality, adaptability, flexibility, teamwork
  • Experience with typography, iconography, and layout design subtilties
  • Remain current on industry and software changes, developing your design skills
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Meticulous attention to detail and able to proof own work
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, but also able to proactively seek clarity when needed
  • Efficiently work on projects through completion
  • BFA, BA, BS, or MFA in Graphic Design or equivalent field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of proven experience as a production artist including all areas of digital and print on an in-house marketing or agency level

Job Description:

  • The Senior Graphic Designer will create and implement graphic design concepts to support Client’s various departments and Corporate Marketing team.
  • They will use existing brand guidelines to create accurate, optimized, web-ready and/or print-ready files.
  • This position will collaborate closely with Client’s's in-house creative and brand teams as we grow and scale the Client’s brand.
  • The ideal candidate should be highly creative, detail-oriented, and possess strong project management skills.
  • They should also thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage their time efficiently, work on multiple projects concurrently, present and defend concepts/ideas to internal marketing team members, and communicate exceptionally well.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and manage brand consistency across teams.
  • Create and design materials for digital, print, environmental, and multimedia channels, such as infographics, email banners, posters, flyers, print ads, social media, brochures, and event trade show booth designs.
  • Maintain and update Client’s graphics, photography, video, motion graphics, and iconography library.
  • Oversee third-party digital, print, and production agencies to ensure on-brand materials.
  • Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners.
  • Present creative concepts to team and clients.
  • Work with creative director and project lead(s) to assess project requirements, identify scope, create accurate time estimates and breakdowns, and deliver solutions within budget.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices in design concepting and execution.
  • Archive work into a shared drive accessible to team members.

Requirements:

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Expert knowledge of Pre-Press, CMYK, RGB color spaces, proofing, and digital print production.
  • Accomplished in color-correction, image editing, masking, and compositing.
  • Advanced knowledge of large format trade show booth design and facility environmental design.
  • Advanced knowledge of typography, iconography, and layout design subtleties.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Print production knowledge of how ink and paper work with color-correction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project/content management tools.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design or a related field/equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a graphic designer, working with both digital and print mediums, preferably in an in-house marketing or agency environment.

Salary: Up to $68.00 per hour
