The Analytics Team is one of the fastest-growing teams at Ramsey Solutions! That team partners with our 15 digital product areas to perform business analysis and help create data-driven solutions for our business problems. Using cutting edge technology to put it into action, this team helps all of us at Ramsey perform at our highest level.

This is where you come in. We need your help to generate data-driven solutions. We need a hardcore math nerd—someone who understands mathematical analysis and knows how to use technology to implement it. You’re someone who’s always itching to solve the problem, complete the puzzle, and answer the question. You’re never satisfied with a fluffy answer. You want the facts. You always back up your position with data.

What Winning Looks Like:

The duties and responsibilities of a data analyst include more than collecting and analyzing data. They also must make this data meaningful to business leaders. In general, the day-to-day activities of a Ramsey data analyst may include the following:

• Perform statistical analysis of data to predict trends in the customer base and the business unit as a whole
• Utilize data visualization tools, like Tableau, to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats
• Communicate with business unit stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements, then identify and recommend new processes to the business unit
• Support experimentation and optimization through data-driven hypothesis creation, testing, and analysis of results
• Partner with data developers to transform and organize data into useful models for self-service and analysis

Skills Needed to Win:

• 2 years of experience driving analytics initiatives to impact a business
• 2 years of experience with SQL and scripting languages like Python or R
• Technical expertise building and maintaining dashboards and reporting systems
• Extraordinary passion and curiosity to solve problems (you’re not satisfied until it’s solved and backed by data)
• Solid mathematical or statistics background
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
• Experience utilizing web analytics and Google Analytics tool set
• Experience with optimization testing
