- Provide leadership and direction to the partner practice operations ensuring the operational priorities are met.
- Oversee a team of managers by regular interaction, assessment of skills, and providing clear development pathways.
- Management of proforma and annual operating, personnel, and capital budgets.
- Plan and execute integration activities and team coordination for new partner practices.
- Assist with the development and implementation of operational and quality initiatives.
- Regularly partner with various departments (Human Resource, Compliance, Finance) to identify new opportunities and solutions that meet operational needs.
- Solve any problems that arise concerning the practice operations – support staff questions, maintenance issues, workflow, etc.
- Effectively manage change in the organization by being a resource to help it occur as smoothly as possible.
- Apply critical thinking skills to review key performance indicators (KPI’s) and apply appropriate strategies for improvement.
- Direct work, appraise performance, develop, and lead employees, and address and resolve internal matters.
- Oversee the overall engagement, retention, direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned managers and staff.
- Spearhead integration efforts for partner practices, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal operational performance.
- Oversee day-to-day practice operations, fostering efficiency and adherence to established standards.
- Effective communication skills are essential for this role, as they are needed to convey information clearly, collaborate with team members, and interact with clients and stakeholders.
Minimum Education (or Substitute Experience) Required
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Bachelor’s degree required is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years healthcare operations management experience required.
- Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience required.
- Must have experience in budget management.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Demonstrated history of success in leading teams, retaining, and developing excellent staff.
- Strong analytical skills with preferable experience in Epic.
- Expert understanding of healthcare billing to Medicare, Medi-Cal, other governmental entities, and commercial insurances.
- Expert understanding of healthcare billing to independent practice associations (IPAs), health maintenance organizations (HMOs) or other risk bearing entities, including encounter submission.
- Strong skills in Microsoft applications.
