Trade Support Technical Analyst

Looking for a Technical Analyst with Trade Support experience for a six month long contract to start with possible extensions or conversions to FTE of our client.

This role is for one or our best financial clients with offices in NYC, Southern New Jersey, Southern Maine and South Carolina.

Candidates will need to work onsite every day in Midtown Manhattan

Rotation Schedule:

2 shifts

7am to 4:30

8:30 to 6pm

Weekends once or twice a month

Background :

- Must have experience working with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure support teams.

- Working experience with the following technologies: Linux RH, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL, Python

MUST HAVE:

- Experience with ITRS, Autosys

- Scripting, SQL and/or experience in programming languages such as Python

- ION and Bloomberg

- UNIX / LINUX

NICE TO HAVE

Knowledge of cloud technologies, including Azure

Position Overview - IT Senior Support Analyst, Fixed Income Electronic Trading

This position interacts with all users of ION, Anvil, and Bloomberg to develop and implement lasting and robust technology solutions as well as support the existing application and surrounding framework.

Role and Responsibilities

- The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

- Supporting & delivering solutions to the firm's Trading & Sales desks in North America, Europe, & Asia

- The Analyst will join an experienced team responsible for managing applications that offer risk, trading, and trade capture functionalities to the Business.

- The role will initially involve 2nd line application support responsibilities, engaging with a broad range of stakeholders across the Front & Middle Office, Product Control, Risk Management, Back Office, Application Development, and Infrastructure teams.

- Training will be on the job, but given the nature of the role, the successful candidate is expected to have prior exposure to the technologies and have Capital Markets domain Knowledge. They must have a 'hands-on' attitude and be proactive in enhancing their knowledge.

- Systems and applications comprise vendor and in-house built tools

- Develop ad-hoc reporting tools for all business groups

- On-call, weekend, bank holiday, and shift work required

- Remote working is not available as part of this position some flexibility to this would be at the discretion of the manager.

Job Requirements

- Expert Knowledge of Trade Execution solutions/implementations on ION and Bloomberg.

- Experience supporting trading exchanges

- Fixed Income functional knowledge, particularly treasuries and bond trading expertise

- Experience supporting front-to-back Trading Systems and Trading Desks

- Should be comfortable assessing trading systems/components to investigate trade breaks, connectivity, data,

- and performance issues

- Understanding of financial markets and products, in particular Fixed Income markets.

- Understanding of electronic trading, markets, connectivity, market making, and algorithmic/automatic trading.

- Front Office facing support

Skills needed for submittals
