Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support high speed packaging automation machinery for the food and beverage industry.
- Serve as a technical expert with significant client contact.
- Use Auto-Cad Electrical to create new and modify existing designs.
- Active developer with hands-on problem solving of new and existing design.
- Adhere to budget and schedule constraints.
- Creatively solve application problems to enable customer's products to run efficiently on company's solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and purchasing to implement the solutions during the machine build and testing process.
- Review of project specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements.
- Work with customers to ensure that nay problems are quickly corrected.
- Provide technical support for North America customers of our sister EOL Group Members.
Optimum Position Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Preferred 5 to 10 years electrical and controls design experience.
- Industrial Controls Panel experience.
- 3 phase AC power systems.
- Knowledge of electrical assembly best practices.
- Knowledge with NFPA78, NFPA710E, UL508A and NEC codes.
- PLC and Motion experience (Allen Bradley preferred), servo motors, drivers, HMI's.
- Communications Standards (Ethernet/IP, AS-A, and IOLink)
- Advanced trouble shooting capabilities and diagnostic skills.
- strong computer skills (2D AutoCad Electrical: MRP experience a plus)
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems.
