Infrastructure Operations Manager
- Execute all aspects of operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems, supporting a 24x7 data center operation, to achieve 100% uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
- Provides hands-on technical depth, enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting.
- Serves as level-3 escalation point for operations team and assists with problem resolution and root cause analysis as needed.
- Plans for life and refresh cycles. Ensures that infrastructure solutions work in line with application, network, desktop, server, storage, etc.
- Responsible for implementation of a cloud technology-based solutions to increase client's agility speed to market and efficiency.
- Continuous review of current environment to detect deficiencies, recommend, plan and implement solutions for improvement.
- Develops effective reporting metrics to maintain inventory and system upgrades, patch management for all Client's systems.
- Leads a team of systems engineers ensuring intra-departmental teamwork, standards and expectations are achieved.
- Collaborates with other IT functions on implementations, strategy, and standards; documents and publishes appropriate infrastructure architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks. Facilitates, communicates, collaborates and persuades others in defining, adopting and implementing a coherent technical architecture.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
- Proficient in advanced Infrastructure technologies, such as clustering, Cloud, VEAMM,
- Office365, Microsoft, SQL 2012-2019, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, and VMware.
- VMware, Windows Server, SAN (NetApp) and (Brocade) switch Infrastructure experience is
- required.
- Excellent technical skills including, however, not limited to, Microsoft Operating Systems Server
- 2003-2019, Exchange 2007-2019, Active Directory, VEEAM, SCOM, Networking (both LAN and
- WAN), TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Experience working with HP Server and Blade class machines
- including HP virtual connect.
- Experience using monitoring including SolarWinds, MS SCOM and IDERA.
- Solid track record of supporting cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) with advanced technology
- solutions and achieving desired RPO and RTO levels.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/IT or IS Engineering/Science required; advanced degrees or
certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) a plus.
- 10 years of systems infrastructure and architecture experience, preferably within a large multi-
national diversified financial or professional services organization that operate in a virtualized
environment.
- Must have performance managed a team of at least 5 highly skilled engineers.
- Execute all aspects of operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission
critical equipment and systems, supporting a 24x7 data center operation, to achieve 100%
uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
COMPETENCIES (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
- Develop and maintain metrics for data driven reporting, analysis, and proactive improvements
- military experience preferred.
- Identify process-based improvements that generate operational and financial efficiencies,
including the development and presentation of the business case.
- Knowledge of performance management, critical awareness methods and implementation
standards.
- Execute all aspects of operations including the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission
critical equipment and systems, supporting a 24x7 data center operation, to achieve 100%
uptime and 100% compliance with all customer SLAs.
- Demonstrated knowledge and success in efficiently managing, investigating and improving
upon IT systems/resources and project imperatives.
- Proven experience and an advanced ability to independently make sound and value-add
judgment calls in a highly transactional business context.
- Experience working with large multi-national corporation - large infrastructure across several
countries.
- Completes day to day activities with discipline.

The Infrastructure Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, design and implementation related to infrastructure services. Initiate research, design, and implementation of software/hardware components that are standards based, high performance, highly available and secure in delivering the required business functionality. Implements monitoring/solutions to insure 99.9% systems uptime. Focuses on documentation of standard processes for Operations Team to manage and execute.
