Responsibilities :
Mold and die changeovers with supervision and guidance of process tech. Must have a thorough understanding of molds / dies and the damage which can occur from improper handling.
Machine process startups, control and adjustments under guidance of process technician
Operator will perform any part assembly, pack out etc.. operations as directed if needed.
Upon completion of training, changeovers and startups will be expected to be performed without assistance from others. At this point, the mold setter may be responsible for training others in the same occupational title as needed.
Once the mold setter has achieved full training levels, he will be required to fill the next process technician position that comes available regardless of shift.
Failure to do so will result in permanent disqualification of the mold setter job.
Work with Process tech to perform preventive maintenance tasks on themoroming machines and auxiliary equipment.
All operations as required per pack out operator when mold change assistance is not required. This includes any assembly, cleanup, pack out or other operations as directed by management.
Responsible for maintaining quality standards. Will learn to use gauges and other measuring devices or instruments to keep the equipment running in accordance to acceptable quality standards.
Must be able to read and understand simple prints / drawings pertaining to finished products.0
