Randstad has partnered with a highly reputable Plastic Injection Molding company located in Rush City, MN. We are looking for a skilled and experinced Buyer to join the team. The Buyer is primarily responsible for purchasing goods, materials, or components in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that materials, equipment, and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Reacts to and maintains purchase order action messages daily to maintain inventory levels.
- Ensures individual procurement activity aligns with department objectives to increase inventory turns and minimize inventory levels. Regularly monitors existing orders to react quickly to changing customer demand.
- Verifies purchase requisitions by understanding internal customer requirements, verifies specifications and sources supplies through preferred and/or best alternative suppliers.
- Thoroughly understands the relevant modules in ERP (IQMS) to manage purchasing activities in such a way that all necessary information is highly accessibly and accurate.
- Evaluate and negotiate with potential suppliers based on their product quality, cost, delivery, payment terms and services to meet the needs of the business.
