responsibilities:
Job Description

Support operations by providing analytical testing for material and products, including data analysis and reporting

Responsibilities - Chemist II
  • Demonstrates an understanding of technical concepts supporting methodology and systems in Material or Product Testing
  • Performs troubleshooting and initial investigative work related to OOS, OOE, OOT.
  • Leads others consistently in productivity, quality and teamwork metrics. Drives continuous improvement initiatives within Quality control
  • Demonstrates independence and proficiency in performing tests for most products supported by work group. Reviews peer work for accuracy and compliance
  • Identifies suspect data and works with management to complete investigations
  • Identifies technical and compliance issues and works with management on implementing solutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulator requirements. (For example: OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, Etc)
Responsibilities - Chemist III
  • Preforms troubleshooting and initial investigative work related to OOS, OOT. Identifies suspect data an works with management to complete an investigations
  • Demonstrates a higher level of understanding of technical concepts supporting methodology and systems in Material or Product Testing. Leads consistently in productivity, quality and teamwork and compliance.
  • Demonstrates independence and proficiency in performing tests for most products supported by work group. Conducts all testing in compliance with cGMP and SOP's. May participate in activities related to method development, optimization and validation.
  • Works with supervisors to plan and complete testing, data evaluation and LIMS reporting
  • Identifies suspect data and works with management to complete investigations. Can write KLE, Phase 1 investigations
  • Proactively identifies technical and compliance issues and leads initiatives to resolve issues and implement other improvements.
  • Maintains proper documentation of laboratory data (which requires adequate proficiency in written and computational skills). Can write protocols, methods and other technical documents.
  • Can represent QC in regulatory audits with coaching support
  • IF A TEAM LEAD - Will lead in the testing and training of others within workgroup. Communicates to the team any changes in SOPs or policies required for improvement. Takes the leadership role in communicating and implementing ideas from the team for system improvements. Has a basic understanding of project management.
  • IF A TEAM LEAD - Communicates with supervisors and tam members regarding prioritization of product testing. Communicates with outside departments regarding team deliverables. Advises supervisors of any problems/conflicts within teams
  • IF A TEAM LEAD - Working from Control Center Report, ensures that all testing is completed by time commitments. Assist with the organization of work flow and resources. Provides materials and tools for team on as needed basis.
  • IF A TEAM LEAD - Provides final approval of log books. Spends 95% of time on the lab floor performing testing of material and products for support of production and assure quality. Assist in makes decisions regarding the allocation of work and resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

qualifications:
Education / Background
  • BS/BA in Chemistry or Life Science, preferred
  • MUST have Pharmaceutical GMP experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • FOR Chemist II 2-4 years of related exp
  • FOR Chemist III 5-8 Years of related exp

skills: Chemistry, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
