Randstad has an immediate position open for an experienced Communications Manager. As the selected candidate, you will work with a Strategy Advancement and Innovations team and play a critical role in implementing communication strategies. You will work with our client who is a global life sciences company located in St. Louis, MO. This position will require the selected candidate to work onsite as needed. Local candidates are preferred as relocation cost reimbursement is not available.
salary: $30 - $32 per hour

Responsibilities
- Assist in handling corporate media inquiries and announcements from NA PS organization, as well as provide corporate communications support to global colleagues as needed.
- Assist in crafting communication asks from functional colleagues to distribute to a wider audience.
- Work to prepare and engage client employees and executives for proactive media outreach and other media requests.
- This role involves developing relationships with and supporting internal clients in various parts of the organization.
- Work closely with the other members of the business communications team as appropriate.
- Support planning and communications surrounding key events and media visits.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field with 4 years of related work experience.
- Experience with public relations agency or corporate experience and/or a journalism background preferred.
- Proven mainstream media relations experience, including development of press releases, statements and related materials and direct interaction to demonstrate the ability to build media relationships.
- Excellent writing and listening skills are essential, as is the ability to manage several inquiries.
