Summary:

Under the supervision of the Americas Division, IT Manager, the Desktop Support Analyst maintains essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, networks, servers, endpoints, software, and printers/scanners. The incumbent also handles business-critical IT tasks and systems administration. Researches and evaluates emerging technologies, hardware, and software.

Essential Functions:

  • Administers user interface with servers; troubleshoots problems
  • Reviews, analyzes and evaluates IT systems operations
  • Assists with help desk requests; liaises with corporate IT people as necessary
  • Works with vendors to solve technical issues as required
  • Resolves user connection problems; identifies opportunities for system improvements Ensures network security procedures and policies are implemented and enforced Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests relate to IT issues.
  • Maintain computer systems and act as support if any system goes down.
  • Responsible for PC's, Printers, Servers and related equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc.).
  • Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding of new users.
  • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade PC software.
  • Develops and executes disaster procedures, and maintains data backups
  • Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position
Experience Requirements:

  • 5-7 years' experience as Desktop Support Analyst, Helpdesk role Experience with help desk functions, server applications, etc.
  • Excellent computer skills, including ability to use Google suites, Microsoft Office Suite, various email and internet programs and applications, financial programs, databases, and other programs used by Client; experience with MS Windows client and server operating systems, diagnostic systems and structures; working knowledge of PC hardware are required.
  • Experience in configuration and administration in various software and hardware applications are required.
Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: Nutanix certification
  • Preferred certificates: Microsoft MCSE or MCP, Citrix XenApp and Xendesktop or equivalent technical experience on virtual environments.
  • Preferred Certification- CompTIA A Certification: Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) provides IT-centric training in a vendor-neutral platform.

  • Ability to explore, analyze and utilize various software platforms from an end-user perspective
  • strong analytical and diagnostics skills; proven creativity and initiative
  • High level of knowledge in information technology; detailed knowledge of software and associated systems; experience with Company systems and software
  • Ability to analyze situations and act on them
  • Ability to complete assignments with limited supervision
  • Ability to learn new, highly technical information and be able to train others on this information
  • General awareness of computer systems, PC repair, and network management
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise.
  • Ability deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized and flexible
