Diesel Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic with knowledge in heavy equipment especially in diagnosing and repairing diesel and propane forklifts.  This candidate needs to be a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. salary: $54,080 - $60,320 per year

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for complete inspection, Maintenance, diagnosis and repair of Diesel   and Propane Forklifts and mules at the different company locations.
• Observe functioning of forklifts and mules to detect hazards/problems and need for adjustments, repairs or replacement
• Duties will include adding fluids, changing air filters, updating service records, and reporting of maintenance issues requiring repair.
• Prepare equipment in accordance with company standards
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on forklift and mules equipment
• Safely disassemble, and repair or replace broken parts
• Dismantle, test and analyze malfunctioning equipment, hand tools and power tool and tests apparatus to locate defects
• Inspect, press wash and fuel equipment
• Clean and lubricate parts
• Document all work performed
• Knowledge of diesel engines and electric systems
• Ability to read schematics and isolate component failures
