Forklift Operator

salary: $20 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Transfer product to production room and ensure production lines are maintained with enough product    
• Any damaged or quality related problems must be reported and noted on bills of lading if the product is not refused.
• Ensure correct product is selected from the cooler based on age    
• All products must be at least 18” from side walls and ceiling.
• Unload product in a timely manner and all pertinent information is accurate for each BOL
• Ensure accuracy in all paperwork and system transactions    
• Report any trailer damage or accidents in a timely manner
• Responsible for all safety precautions while when unloading and loading trucks
• Perform all line feeder and finished good rotator responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring proper product temperature
• Separate good and bad wood pallets and store in the appropriate designated areas  
• Load the recycling trailer with baled cardboard
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform routine cycle counts

What you will need:

• GED/High School Diploma
• Reading, Writing, Speaking English Preferred
• 2 years’ forklift experience preferred (some positions require stand-up forklift experience)
• Willingness to work in a cold environment 
• Able to work flexible schedule
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
• Team player-able to work on a team
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to understand plant KPI’s (production, quality & safety)
• Requires the ability to lift 50 lbs.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 7 hours at one time

working up to 1 hrs of overtime per week
