salary: $20.5 - $21.5 per hour

work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform basic functionality testing on major home appliances: washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, and refrigerators
• Ensure daily production goals are met, as well as XPO quality standards
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation; diagnose and make repairs when applicable
• Perform cosmetic repairs on appliances including replacement of shelves, doors, and handles
• Harvest parts from salvaged appliances
• Use an assigned workstation to log testing and repairs in an internet based application
• Manually move items in and out of the testing stations via hand truck or appliance dolly
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

• Knowledge of basic tool use: drill/driver, wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ect
• Knowledge of home appliance operation
• Ability to work with computers and internet based applications
• Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and accomplish production goals



The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time
