manufacturing materials buyer

The Raw Materials Buyer works directly with sales, production management and other operations teams to perform the critical role of creating, issuing, and overseeing purchase orders to suppliers to support production requirements for a manufacturing plant. The Buyer will effectively analyze and report key metrics and data related to inventory and customer order fulfillment. The material buyer is responsible for collaborating across business functions to meet or beat timelines and represent the supply chain team in a competent and exemplary way.

salary: $52,000 - $55,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
education: Bachelor

Responsibilities

• Review raw material inventories and setups to ensure levels are proactively maintained
• Negotiate with new and existing vendors to source raw materials
• Develop and maintain purchasing and planning KPIs to ensure deliverables are met
• Coordinate all plant purchasing and resolve all material and supplier issues

The essential functions of this role include:
