What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Operator position at Randstad?
Randstad is currently searching for individuals for direct hire opportunities for Manufacturing Operators in Sheboygan Falls, WI. Individuals will manually and semi-automatically portion chemicals into containers using safety equipment and following protocols. This is day shift with a rotating work schedule. Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days with every other Fri-Sun off. Hours are 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-Set up, use & clean required equipment, tools and materials; charges solids, liquids & gases to flasks and reactors; monitors chemical reactions using analytical and laboratory equipment & distributed control system; performs distillations, filtrations, extractions and re-crystallization to purify & isolate product; neutralizes & disposes of waste; closely follows written procedures, MPR's, SOP's & other work instructions; follows guidelines & participates in quality awareness & training sessions; verifies quality & integrity of material & equipment used; helps identify unsafe situations & makes suggestions to improve safety; cleans & organizes work area; participates in incident investigations & safety meetings; ensures that work area is properly supplied; complete & maintain distillation logs & checklists, & maintain personal training record; labels reactions, products & waste with content & status related information; provides oral &/or written updates to supervisor & coworkers regarding process status (shift change); contributes to personal & departmental improvement goals; makes suggestions for improvements & participates in PDSA test cycles; miscellaneous duties & tasks as assigned.
Education:
-HS Diploma or Equivalent
-Desirable: AS Chemistry or Science related associate degree (chemical technician)
Experience: Over 3 months, desired experience level either working in industry or hands on involvement in chemistry environment.
Essential and Critical Skills:
-Effective oral and written communication skills.
-Mechanical aptitude.
-Basic mathematical skills.
-Ability to read and understand written protocols.
-Ability to operate forklift or hand pallet truck.
-Basic understanding of chemical reactions and hazards.
-Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule
Must be wiling to subject to background check, drug screen and physical.
