- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Tech.
- Minimum 4 years experience with design & drafting for industrial machinery. (Experience with winches would be a big plus)

responsibilities:
- Design custom large equipment for marine, energy, and defense sectors, such as hawser winches, oceanographic winches, cable sheaves, IWOC reels, and subsea accumulators, adhering to precise customer specifications.
- Create detailed design drawings and specifications using SolidWorks, encompassing mechanical equipment and control systems.
- Design electric, hydraulic, and chain drive systems, including schematic development.
- Select and verify purchased components like bearings, electric/hydraulic motors, gear reducers, and hydraulic fittings for compliance with performance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address design issues, enhance manufacturability, and optimize assembly processes.
- Interface with sales teams and customers to clarify requirements and generate blueprints and manuals for equipment installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards like ABS-CDS, DNV OS-E101, API 16D, ASME Section VIII BPVC, while also overseeing structural design and patent applications to safeguard intellectual property.
