What are the responsibilities and job description for the OPEX Intern position at Randstad?
In partnership with a major Life Science organization we are seeking candidates for a Summer Internship as a Operational Excellence Intern based out of Rockville, MD. This is a 10 week summer internship for 2024. Expected start date is June 3rd through August 9th, 2024.This role is 40 hrs /week, but has flexibility for part-time and hyrbid work.
salary: $19 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
The Operational excellence intern will require the ability to partner with internal customers to identify and drive high-impact continuous improvement efforts in support of department priorities and strategies. the Intern will utilize Operational Excellence (Op Ex) tools to create Internal or External communication (could include but not limited to creating dashboards, working with DOMO, etc.), roll out of visual management boards, assist in data tracking and observations, etc. Possibly earning a Lean & Six Sigma cert. as a result of the project. - Create graphs/charts
- Attend L&SS training
- Interpret data
- Draft effective internal and external communication
- Attend meeting and present projects
- Currently enrolled undergraduate, concentrating in Business or Engineering course of study, or any related field
- Tech savvy (MS Office- Excel)
- Good interpersonal skills
- strong oral & written communication skills and able to present to stakeholders or leadership
