Packaging Design Consultant

Randstad, in partnership with our client, a leader in luxury, fashion and jewelry, is seeking a Packaging Design Consultant for a 6 month contract opportunity in their NYC office with an opportunity for contract extension.  Reporting into the department Director, the ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in packaging in luxury, fashion & jewelry retail, branding, and design industries along with Adobe Creative Suites and 3D programs to showcase visual design capabilities, including composition, layout, hierarchy, typography, and color judgment.   A believer in teamwork and multidisciplinary approach, able to create excellent interpersonal relations and a passion for building brands and challenging the status quo, with a cultural awareness that advises key concepts and emerging trends. Creative strategy and project development experience, including operational plans and compelling presentations.   This is a full time role M-F, 9:30am to 5pm work schedule and 100% onsite.    

salary: $75 - $85.42 per hour

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, Design, and Execute bespoke packaging 
• Search for innovative materials and packaging solutions. & evaluate technical feasibilities
• Manage innovative materials testing to explore the feasibility of future packaging solutions.
• Competition research
• Make Digital Mockups in Adobe AI/PS/ID
• Work directly with the Graphics Manager
