The right candidate will be a self-starter who is able to catch on quickly and works well in a fast-paced environment. This is a short term assignment position (8 Weeks) in the local area of Hanford. We have multiple openings for 1st shift. Must be flexible to varying start times ranging from 3pm to 5pm and working 7 days a week depending on production schedules. Responsibilities
Objective: To inspect fruit for defects according to specifications provided, i.e. color,
shape, bruises, softness, grade, sunburn and punctures. As the fruit moves across the sorting table, the worker will
sort out defective fruit. Also removing any leaves/debris from the fruit and being able to work
with packaging equipment, focus on distribution of final product while maintaining consistent work flow.
Qualifications: Communicate well with others, Follow verbal directions, Ability to do highly repetitive physical work, paying attention to detail, Knowledge of fruit grades & sizes desirable, Fruit packing experience desired, Ability to stand in the same place for a long period of time & work under wet conditions. Start time flexibility required.
Requirements: Constant standing, use of both hands, manual finger dexterity for rolling/manipulating fruits for inspection, grasping/handling fruit to transfer them to a cull chute/totes, constant lifting 25 lbs., ability to work in cold storage.
The essential functions of this role include:working in a non-temperature controlled environment manual lifting up to 25lbs standing for 10 hours at one time working up to 20 hrs of overtime per week working weekends
