The Project Engineer role works on a variety of projects, which may include environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, and roofing/building envelope projects. This role is based in Shelbyville, KY with opportunity for travel for an enthusiastic and talented individual looking to join a team of outstanding professionals.

responsibilities:
- Perform in a combination of field, laboratory, and office work. - Work independently on various projects under the direction of a Department Manager, and additionally managing a team of direct reports or projects. - Manage a team of engineers and technicians, conducting construction inspection and testing services for Airport, DOT and LPA transportation projects. - Manage reporting of construction quality control activities on construction projects. - Train and supervise technicians and inspectors. - Manage the maintenance of the quality reviews and certifications. - Manage equipment inventory and calibration. - Perform various inspections and tests for public and private sector clients. - Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications to support the client. - Assist in coordination of field personnel, preparation of test reports and performing specialty tests and services for public and private sector clients. - Monitor quality control standards and specifications, read blueprints, and additional documents.
