responsibilities:
The Radar Systems Engineer would perform systems engineering tasks in support of radar product design and development efforts. The Radar Systems Engineer supports the requirements development, architecture definition, performance analysis, signal processing algorithms design, verification and validation, as well as providing support to the hardware and software design and development. This role requires interaction with radar design, validation, and production team members located around the global, and may require travel company or customer site to support test and demonstration efforts.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in electrical engineering, or physics/math with demonstrated skills in some of the above-mentioned areas.
- Requirements management and analysis, including requirement allocation, traceability, verification
- Radar system performance analysis and modeling, including antenna, receiver, transmitter, waveform, signal processing, tracking, environmental effects
- Radar test data analysis and performance verification
- Documentation, including requirements, models, analysis, test report, trouble reports
- Compliance with Company Standards and Business Conduct Requirements
What you'll bring
- MS in Electrical Engineering with 3 years of experience, or BS in electrical engineering with 5 years of experience; Degrees in other engineering and science fields with a focus in electronics or signal processing will also be considered
- The ideal candidate should have job experience in the following areas:

- Antenna, phased array, receiver/exciter designs - patterns, receiver chain analysis, waveform design, filter design
- Digital signal processing - digital filter design, pulse-Doppler processing, spectrum analysis, statistical signal processing techniques
- Analog signal processing - system response design, characterization
- Embedded or real-time software development
- Automotive electronics
- Requirement analysis and development
- Advanced math skills and the ability to develop concept from physics principles
- Experience in one of the data analysis tools (i.e. MATLAB)
- Good oral and written communications skills including documentation and report generation
- Some travel may be required
