This firm has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented, conscientious, senior accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will be involved in numerous facets of the accounting, financial reporting, cash management, investor reporting, and performance/analysis deliverables for the funds and management company.

The candidate should be a self-starter, very detail-oriented, and be able to be flexible and contribute in a small partnership environment (e.g., share ideas, take ownership of responsibilities, as well as an active problem-solver with a customer service mindset).

responsibilities:
- Work with VP of Accounting and Tax to handle day-to-day treasury management matters, including AP processing, entering journal entries, and reconciling cash
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations and fund expense reporting
- Prepare profit and loss and expense analyses for Funds and Management Company monthly/quarterly
- Prepare quarterly financial reporting, including fund financials, management fee calculations, capital call requests, and fund performance deliverable
- Take ownership of our processes for calculating and preparing capital calls, distributions, and expense reporting
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Assist with the year-end audit process and research questions from auditors (e.g., investor confirms, credit facility, limited partnership agreement, etc.)
- Assist with internal and compliance reporting as needed
- Assist on special projects and analysis in support of firm management
- Share ideas to improve responsibilities, team, and firm
qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have private equity or fund administration experience including valuations, financial reporting, journal entry processing, and bank reconciliations. The candidate should be a self-starter, very detail-oriented, and be able to be flexible and contribute in a small partnership environment (e.g., share ideas, take ownership of responsibilities, as well as an active problem-solver with a customer service mindset).
- At least 4 years of accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
- Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized,
- Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills,
- Strong accounting knowledge,
- Advanced excel skills,
- CPA preferred,
- Familiarity with the following is a plus:
- QuickBooks, MS Dynamics, PEView, Deal Dynamo, Concur, MCT (Compliance 11)
